GENERAL INFORMATION:

The “Gentse Feesten meeting“, takes place as usual in the recreation domain of the Blaarmeersen, Zuiderlaan in Ghent. This manifestation is one of the leading contests within the framework of the Flanders Cup.

This year also there has been done a lot of work to make this contest attractive and a surplus value was given especially in the financial field of this organisation. The total amount of the prizes is 3.000,00 €.

The most important thing though is the good cast in the different disciplines by attracting Top Belgium athletes, and athletes from the surrounding countries, especially from Holland, France and Great Britain. Athletes, who in their own countries not always belong to the absolute top level but nevertheless belong to the 25 best national performers in their discipline.

On the program we have the following contests:

Women AC: 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500, 100 m hurdles, long jump, shot put, discus, javelin, hammer.

Men AC: 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500, 3000, 110 m hurdles, high jump, long jump, shot put, discus, javelin, hammer.

This program starts at 15.00h and the end of the competition is estimated about 22.00h.
